I had wanted to build a modest street library for some time.
Then I saw an old wooden dresser that someone was giving away. I knew I would be able to re-purpose the timber for my library.
But the dresser had 2 wonderful lead-light doors that I just couldn’t look past, and had to use one of them for my library!
So now the library size was dictated by the size of the lead-light door. A little bigger than I had first envisiged!! Now it is three levels high and can fit a lot more books.
A few coats of bright paints on different sides, and my street library is up and going!!!
Books available across the range....novels, biographies, educational, children's......Take a book, and leave a book if you would like.....
