Little Jarjuns Street Library

cnr Northcott Dr and Ellerslie Rd, Adamstown Heights, NSW 2289

Our preschool street library has a collection of books for adults and children in a lovely bush setting for people to sit and read.

Uniting Adamstown Heights Preschool wanted to create a space for a street library for all people. They worked alongside the Men’s Shed at Cardiff to create a beautiful natural space with adult and child sized seating to encourage borrowers to sit together and read. Books to start the library were donated by staff and families and the ongoing maintenance of the library and it’s surrounds will be undertaken by the children and educators at the preschool. Little Jarjuns Street library reflects our deep connection to embedding Aboriginal culture at our preschool with Jarjuns being the Bundjalung word for children.
