Little Library of The Lakes

I am a Teacher Librarian at a high school and books have always been a big part of my life. I am making sure they are a big part of my daughters’ lives too. With the street library I am combining two passions: books and community. I love the idea of neighbours sharing books. A number of people contributed to the building of our library: my dad’s friend, who is part of Men’s Shed; my father-in-law, who put the sign on, made it waterproof and put it in place; and my daughters who helped me paint it. The name of the library pays homage to my favourite author as a child: L. M. Montgomery. I think Anne would approve of the name.
