Mawson Ave Street Library

In between 8 & 10 Mawson Ave Beecroft

Nestled in amongst nature and made entirely from recycled materials, our street library caters to readers of all ages.

During COVID lockdown, children in the area were missing school and local libraries.

The street library initially began with a plastic tub that was put out on the nature strip each day. A very kind and clever dad in Mawson Ave offered to make a permanent structure. He created such a beautiful library and it is wonderful seeing so many people enjoying the books.

Reading is a wonderful escape and we believe of huge benefit to young and old.

We encourage everyone to pop by and swap, borrow, return or keep a book. Often games and puzzles can be found.

Happy Reading!
