Monash Vale ELC Street Library

Our early learning centre and kindergarten believe in the importance of early literacy at a young age to build a child’s love for literacy and reading. Reading stories is a catalyst for a child’s imagination and curiosity and enables them to learn the difference between real and make-believe. Our service has built connections with the Clayton Library, run Literacy and phonetic session with children and provide Pre-School and centre-wide libraries for families. As an extension over the year, we have run fundraisers for our families and children from raffles to coffee stands to raise money for our Street Library. The library was built with the support of our children and families as well as painted by the children. We are very excited to share with our local community
