Newtown Electorate Office Street Library

383 King Street Newtown

Our library’s inaugural titles included a wide selection ranging from Nigerian Author Chigozie Obioma’s Man Booker shortlisted ‘The Fisherman’ to Andy Griffith’s ‘The Day My Bum Went Psycho’. Understandably these were both picked up very quickly. Recent contributions to our library include Patrick White’s Vivisector, Playschool’s Very Useful Book and the Australian Women’s Weekly Children’s Birthday Cake Book. We get a great and diverse circulation of high quality content from our community.

Our Newtown electorate office recently adopted a street library of our own. Special shout out to the very talented Nika, Sylvie, Martha, Frankie, Lani, Sophia, Saskia, Milla, Zoe, Margot, Freya, Tily, Bessie, Zora, Emily, Max, Craig, Jake and Persephone from the Newtown Public School Art Club who did such a great job decorating it for us.
