Rosalie Street – Mount Martha

We built our little library ourselves. It was converted from an old hall cabinet. It was built just in time for Christmas, so it was a gift to our family and neighbours, a gift that keeps on giving !. There are lots of retired people and young families in our neighbourhood, a lot of people walk past our house on the way to the park or if they are walking their dogs around the block. It seemed like the perfect location. I illustrate children’s picture books and I love collecting books. We had too many books with not enough storage space, so I was happy to share them with the neighbours. We have had a great response towards our little library, and the kids love it, they even leave little wishing stones and shells around it and they get excited when other children take them.
