St Paul’s Lutheran congregation relocated from Station Street BoxHill in Feb 2020. Frustrated by covid restrictions through the major lockdown of that year the members wanted to serve the local community and so Pastor Phil Haar thought of setting up a street library. So during lockdown he converted an old dog kennel which he presented as a gift to the cong in Dec 2020. Set on the fence in front of St Paul’s house adjacent to the church, which will continue to undergo major redevelopment through 2022, the library bears the tag,
‘the best dog-gone street libray ever’.
A great library built from a repurposed dog kennel. Perspex doors gice side access to adult and children's sections.
