The Pear is that place in the neighbourhood that is a home away from home. It is where locals come to meet each other over coffee, conversations and daily activities. After having organised several neighbourhood second-hand markets, clothes swaps, plant swaps and running a successful GrowFree cart, we at The Pear figured that we should encourage our neighbours to share their books and stories! One of our regulars built a little street library that sits permanently outside the cafe, under shelter, so that it is accessible 24/7. Anyone can take, bring or swap a book at any time.
From kids stories to psychological thrillers, art books and fiction - The Pear Bookshare has something for everyone! Outside 24/7, you can pick up a book any time of day.
