Meet one of our newest Street Library recruits, Mindful Reads Haven, in Chatswood, NSW. This pretty little Street Library has been lovingly established by Community Living Supports, Northern Sydney (CLS-NS), a not-for-profit with a mission to provide uplifting support for individuals dealing with serious mental health challenges.

CLS-NS believes in the power of creativity and community (same!), and host an art group every Tuesday where their clients can come together to express themselves and find hope through art.

“Our consumers were over the moon with excitement, and they poured their creativity into this unique project,” says Street Librarian, JT. “With every brushstroke and colour choice, they expressed their individual journeys of recovery and resilience.”

Like the people of CLS-NS, we’re very excited to see how this colourful street library brings joy, inspiration, and a sense of togetherness to its community.
