Meet Liz. Liz is the proud owner of ‘Corner House Books’ a registered Street Library which has just opened for business in Wembley.
A birthday gift from her family for the person who has everything, even though it’s only been a few days, Liz says the library has created a lot of interest. She has diversified her offering to include children’s books and even created bookmarks.
Liz who has lived and taught in the neighbourhood for 39 years believes that her Street Library is in keeping with the positive things happening in her local community. “It gets people talking, reading and saying hello”.
There are now over 100 registered Street Libraries in Western Australia.
